After a year of uncertainty, one thing’s for sure — it’s time to welcome people back to the city! The Chicago Loop was put on pause amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and businesses are now looking for a way to bring the community back in a fun, exciting, and very Chicago way.
Chicagoans know that one of the best parts of summer here are the open-air events happening in the streets! Between the food, music, and sense of community, it’s something every local looks forward to. And this year, Chicago’s most iconic street will close to traffic from Lake to Madison on select Sundays to transform into a pedestrian-filled street of surprises.
Sundays on State will be an interactive block party for all ages! Locals and visitors alike are welcome to join and come back all summer long as each event brings a little something new. Sundays on State will give attendees a chance to experience arts and culture, active recreation, shopping, restaurants, and bars against the backdrop of State Street’s iconic architecture.
Connect with fellow Chicagoans on the street during yoga classes, live musical theatre performances, tabletop games, and other recreational activities. With over 70 activations at each event to choose from, Sundays on State are family-friendly and sure to entertain event-goers of all ages. And as an added bonus, admission is free!
Chicago needs your help to get back on its feet and #SundaysOnState is the perfect way to show your support and have some fun while you’re at itt.
