Chicago will host the 2023 James Beard Awards® presented by Capital One from June 2nd to June 5th! The event will feature a series of intimate and large-scale activities, including concerts, collaborations, educational sessions, and more. The James Beard Awards are highly regarded honors in the culinary and food media industries. They recognize exceptional talent and a commitment to equity, community, sustainability, and thriving culture.

Choose Chicago and the Illinois Restaurant Association are known to advocate for the city’s vibrant hospitality community, but this weekend will be on another level. We have provided all the necessary links to efficiently RSVP, so get clicking and get purchasing!

Friday, June 2nd

Welcome to Chicago Concert: A special concert featuring artist Michelle Billingsley’s latest album and award-winning whiskeys from Judson & Moore, and delicious tacos from Big Star.

Saturday, June 3rd

The Abundance Setting x JBF Panel – Who’s Watching the Kids?: A panel discussion focusing on women chefs and their experiences balancing culinary careers and family responsibilities.

Coffee Talk: A roundtable discussion on mental health in the hospitality industry, presented by Hope for the Day and The Graceful Ordinary. RSVP through email (RSVPChi@h2publicrelations.com).

JBF Session – Food Access & Sustainable Communities: A panel discussion addressing equitable food access and sustainability, featuring renowned chefs and activists.

Pizzeria Beddia Pop-Up: A one-day-only event at RPM Events, offering a three-course menu by Chef Joe Beddia, known for the best pizza in America.

Beef & Bandidos: A happy hour celebration at Al’s #1 Italian Beef in Little Italy. The bites will feature Italian beef sandwiches, tequila-infused cocktails, and more.

Sunday, June 4th

Get Roasted – Brew and Brunch Roasting Tour: A craft coffee event at Big Shoulders Coffee Roasting Works, featuring live roasting demonstrations, coffee tastings, and a homemade brunch.

A Culinary Crawl Through Logan Square: An exploration of Logan Square’s independent restaurants and bars, organized by Doug Psaltis and Hsing Chen of Eat Well Hospitality. No tickets or RSVP required!

Three Dots and a Decade: A celebration of Three Dots and a Dash’s 10th anniversary! The celebration will feature acclaimed bartenders and their original cocktails.

Sunday Seisiún with The Dawson & The Dead Rabbit: A pop-up event at The Dawson. The event will feature cocktails, Irish fare, live music, and fundraising for the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

Gaijin Matsuri: A summer party at Gaijin, offering complimentary cocktails, curated bites, and a special Japanese-themed performance.

Stadium Chef Series – Wrigley Field: A unique dining experience at the historic Wrigley Field. A family-style feast prepared by renowned chefs will be featured! (SOLD OUT)

“Omakase” with Raj Parr Wine Pairings: Indulge in an Indian “omakase.” Experience regional flavors from Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Goa, and Jaipur, priced at $90 per person or $150 with wine pairings.

Hilton Presents Exclusive V.I.P. Takeover of Bernard’s at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago: An exclusive event hosted by Hilton at Bernard’s. A celebration of the “Outstanding Bar Award” will ensue with special guests! RSVP through email (HiltonEnterprise@coynepr.com).

JBF Greens x Frontier: JBF Greens will feature inspiring bites by executive chef Brian Jupiter. They will all be in support of the host chef’s business and the Foundation’s national programming.
