Share

Ravenswood is home to Chicago’s most bustling craft beer scene, its first post-prohibition distillery, and a variety of expert chefs and culinary geniuses, which is why you’d be remiss to not attend the 3rd annual Taste of Ravenswood this Friday.

Taking place at the Ravenswood Event Center on Nov. 10 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the evening will showcase the finest restaurants, breweries, and distillers that call this neighborhood home. With plentiful pours from local craft breweries and distilleries and dishes from Ravenswood’s top eateries, participants include the first Michelin-starred brewpub Band of BohemiaBegyle Brewing Co., and The Long Room’s Beard and Belly.

In celebration of the collaborative spirit of Ravenswood, businesses along Malt Row, home to one of the country’s most prolific craft brewing communities, will partner with neighborhood restaurants to create booze-infused bites available for one night only.

Collaborative Partners include:

  • Amy’s Candy Bar with Ampersand Wine Bar
  • Beard & Belly with Begyle Brewing Co.
  • BienMeSabe Venezuelan Restaurant with Spiteful Brewing
  • Lucila’s Homemade with KOVAL Distillery
  • Roots Handmade Pizza with Dovetail Brewery
  • Spoken Cafe with KOVAL Distillery

Additional Taste of Ravenswood participants include neighborhood stable Empirical Brewery and award-winning Half Acre Beer Company which each boast newly-opened Tap Room kitchens.

HundoBall! boards will be set up at Taste of Ravenswood for attendees to try out the new skee-ball/cornhole hybrid game along with a life-size Jenga and live music.

General admission tickets are $70 each and include 20 tasting pours and unlimited food from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $100 each, allowing guests to enter at 6 p.m. for an exclusive Happy Hour with access to chefs, brewers and distillers, unlimited food and tasting pours and a swag bag. Tickets and additional information are available here:  http://ravenswoodchicago.org/taste-of-ravenswood.
