Safety and Celebration: Ensuring a Secure Magnificent Mile Experience
As Chicago gears up for the parade, safety takes center stage in The Magnificent Mile District. Following a discussion with Police Superintendent Larry Snelling on October 19, 20-foot patrols are set to grace Michigan Avenue throughout November and December. These patrols work in tandem with the daily presence of six SSA-funded off-duty law enforcement officers from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Additionally, two security vehicles, funded by the SSA, further patrol the Avenue daily from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Find out more about the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival on their website.
