The Chicago Tattoo Arts Festival Leaves A Mark

Villain Arts presents the Chicago Tattoo Arts Festival from March 22 to 24, 2024. The 14th annual convention will take place at Donald E. Stevens Convention Center, featuring live entertainment and an official after party.

THE FESTIVAL

Running for three days, the Chicago Tattoo Arts Festival is a hub for tattoo artists and entertainers. The show runs from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, or 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The tattoo festival will feature performances by popular artists. Featured entertainment for the evening will include Cenobyte Suspension, Camille Zamboni Contortionist, Aztec Dance, Olde City Slideshow Reggie Bügmüncher, and America’s Got Talent stars Captain and Maybelle. Featured tattoo artist at the convention is Clarke Gable from Borneo Malaysia, specializing in traditional Borneo Handtap Tattooing. The convention will also host two international artists, Penny Boy Tattoo from Italy and Maria Kupushta from Germany.

Guests can also attend a seminar on AI in Tattooing by Bryan Sánchez M. On Saturday, Bryan will talk about how artists can expand the possibilities of tattooing with AI rather than expect negative consequences. Register for the seminar for $150.

Tickets for a one-day pass are $25, and the three-day pass is $50. Admission for children under 12 is free. Tickets can be purchased online or at the show.

AFTER HOURS

Villain Arts is hosting an official Chicago Tattoo Arts After Party at Heavenly Bodies in Elk Grove Village. Hosted by Lilith and Tsuki, the after party on March 22 to 24 will feature live performances by Reggie Bügmüncher. All exhibitors will receive free admission until midnight.
