Shedd Aquarium Presents After Hours Music

Shedd Aquarium will begin hosting after-hours music events in the upcoming months. With performances that match the ambiance of the aquarium, Shedd hopes to celebrate the diverse cultures and communities of Chicago.

UPCOMING EVENTS

To highlight the unique music talents of the city, Shedd will offer a range of performance nights with a variety of music tastes. Starting in March with performances through late August, some shows even include admission to aquarium exhibits.

The series Jazzin’ at the Shedd returns this summer, showcasing the top jazz musicians. With performances June 5 through August 28, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy this night. Become a member and receive free admission to the Members Only night of Jazzin’ at the Shedd on June 5.

To kick off Pride Month, live DJs and an ocean-themed drag show are the highlights of Shedd Aquarium’s Pride Night on June 1 from 6:00 to 10:30 p.m.

Enjoy a night of salsa dancing, cumbia music, merengue steps, Latin jazz songs, and bachata dance lessons at Ritmo del Mar. The evening shows on March 23, May 25, and July 27 will also feature animal chats in English and Spanish. 

For a night that combines music and dancing with aquatic life, join the Shedd House Party on one of the four featured nights in June and July. With views overlooking the Chicago Skyline, move to the beat of the DJs and explore aquatic animals from around the world. Tickets to this event include admission to the exhibits and entertainment, as well as options for food and beverage purchases.

Members of Shedd Aquarium will have exclusive access to members-only nights and discounted ticket prices. Chicago residents will also receive admission at a lower cost than non-Chicago residents.
