Chicago is no doubt a city filled with a ton of Instagram-worthy photo ops. Spend one day in the city and the photos will rack up as you go from block to block checking out the arts, attractions, architecture, and landmarks.  Whether you choose to take a selfie or strike a pose here are some hot spots that will be a great addition to your feed and might even get you influencer status!  

The Bean 

One of the city’s most well-known landmarks, The Bean (Cloud Gate) is located in the heart of Millenium Park and without a doubt the perfect spot to take a selfie. The entire sculpture is a mirror so keep that camera facing forward and snag a selfie with the skyline towering over you in the background. This gram-worthy shiny bean will surely step up your Insta game, but be sure to get there early if you don’t want any photo bombers in your picture!  

SkyDeck 

For an Instagram photo that’ll sure make the top 10 best photos on your feed, head 103 floors up to the Skydeck at the Willis Tower! The Skydeck not only offers views all day long from sunny mornings to the city glistening nightlife, they have an entire floor for you to see the city from a 360 view. We can’t forget about the best part the Skydeck has to offer, their glass ledges allows you to see the city underneath you.  It’s not only a great photo opportunity but an experience you don’t want to miss.  

Lions at the Art Institute  

Dating all the way back to 1894, the pair of lion guardian figures sit right in front of the Art Institute of Chicago are a common sight in pictures of the city.  For hundreds of years these lions have had a powerful meaning, serving as a symbol of strength for cultures around the world. This landmark is immediately recognizable to your followers and make for a fierce photo op.   

Adler Planetarium Sky Walk 

No matter what hour of the day it is, the Adler Planetarium Sky Walk is an absolute perfect spot to grab a photo. With spectacular views of the sparkling Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline as your background, your followers will sure be jealous of this aesthetic post. So head on over with your best outfit on because this spot is definitely worth capturing on your feed.  

Buckingham Fountain 

This Chicago landmark located in Grant Park is one that you really can’t miss. Known to be one of the largest fountains in the world, Buckingham Fountain will keep your Instagram game flow in check especially during spring and summer seasons. The skyline creates a charming backdrop to the fountain and if you’re looking for some extra pop, stop by in the evening when the fountain lights up in an array of different colors. 

Chicago Theater 

Driving by or walking past the Chicago theater’s vintage “Chicago” sign, you will find both locals and tourists from all over snagging a quick photo. Located in the heart of the loop, it’s a must to take advantage of this iconic spot. Create a fun way to make your photo one-a-of-kind, but be careful of the oncoming traffic in this busy area.

Navy Pier Ferris Wheel 

Make your way through Streeterville to the one and only Navy Pier.  Check out the astounding views flying high on their 200ft ferris wheel while getting a bird’s eye view.  Don’t like heights, take a walk down the boardwalk for a view of the Lakefront and the Chicago Skyline that will make for a great background too! 

Chicago Street Art  

For an inspiring and truly unique photo, be sure to check out the Chicago street art. Chicago is home to many murals located all over the Chicago-land area from Pilsen to Lakeview and everywhere in between. They are easy to spot with their bright colors and architectural elements. If you’re looking to get some vibrant colors added to your Instagram then these public works of art no doubt will help you with that.
