The party doesn’t start at midnight: Blue Man Group Chicago has added performances for their New Year’s Eve shows at Briar Street Theatre, along with other extended holiday performances. Celebrate the season by listening to their new holiday EP Overjoy to the World, or buy tickets for 2024 performances as a last minute gift idea.
NEW YEAR’S EVE PERFORMANCES
This globally-acclaimed theatrical group will put on four shows on the evening of December 32, at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m., and 10 p.m. These additional showings will allow the group to cater to a range of audiences so everyone can enjoy the festivities of this non-verbal entertainment phenomenon.
Families with young children can enjoy the earlier show times and still experience the full New Year’s performance. To celebrate the new year, guests will receive party hats and noisemakers. Blue Man Group will stage a special performance of “Auld Lang Syne.” The 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. shows will conclude with early “midnight” countdowns. Before the show, children can match the Blue Men and receive a face-painting transformation.
For the later shows, party hats and noisemakers will still be provided, and later patrons will still enjoy “Auld Lang Syne” specially performed by the Blue Men. Additionally, guests will partake in a midnight champagne toast, complete with a balloon drop at the end of the countdown.
