Welcome the new month with a fuller calendar! Here are some events going on this March that are sure to get you excited! Did we mention that they are all super safe as well? That’s right, all of these events are virtual! Get cozy and get ready to have some fun!

Polar Plunge 

When: March 1st – 7th 

What: This year looks a little different than the past, but the fun certainly won’t be lacking! Since this event is now virtual, you can expect some really creative plunge ideas from supporters. Best of all, the funds raised will directly support the Special Olympics Chicago and Special Children’s Charities programs! You really don’t want to miss out on all this excitement!

Mandela Struggle for Freedom

When: Now – September 12th

What: Get inspired through this immersive experience that details the history of aparteid in South Africa. Specifically, this gallery will recognize Nelson Mandela, one of the 20th-century’s most famous human rights defenders. Sign up for this thought provoking virtual tour today!

Shamrock Shuffle 

When: March 19th – March 21st

What: The shuffle may look different this year, but at the core it still remains the same. This three day running extravaganza will take place in several different neighborhoods in the city and around the world this year! All the shufflers will be competing against friends and family virtually to keep the spirit of St. Paddy’s Day alive while also keeping safe!

Mandala Maker Festival

When: March 5th – March 26th

What: Listen to the sweet sounds of some South Asian diaspora magic. This musical festival is even more amazing amidst these hard times because the creativity of performance is at a whole new level. Come join the beauty that is within this art!

The Great Grow Along

When: March 19th – March 21st 

What: Grow your knowledge about all things plants! If you like to garden, this event is for you! With a wide variety of expert advice, you can bet your garden will look healthier and more alive than ever as springtime arrives!
