Marilyn Eisenberg, Concierge, McCormick Place

“I just had my family go up to 360 Chicago at 875 N. Michigan. What a wonderful way to view Chicago and talk about the history of the city! This is a must for every tourist and local alike. Our city is so beautiful and full of life so enjoy the view and have a delightful day at the top!”

Mary Carmen Skoubis, Head Concierge, LondonHouse

“One of my favorite places that opened recently is the Pearl Club. Elegant, Old World sophisticated atmosphere yet not pretentious. It is perfect for an after-work cocktail and small bite or before or after dinner. Dim lighting, romantic, lovely place. Our guests love it too!”

Tim Anderson, Concierge Manager, 900 North Michigan Shops

“I always have a great time at Remington’s on Michigan Ave. Their bar is so nice and inviting. Martinis are amazing, and the lobster deviled eggs are an absolute must!”

Polly Pancoe, HRM Chicago

“I am looking forward to the wonderful Chicago theater season and pre-Broadway shows! And of course I am always excited about busy conventions coming to Chicago!”

Sharyne Moy Tu, Visitor Center Associate, Macy’s on State Street

“Looking ahead to the upcoming months in Chicago, I’m pretty stoked about some cool events on the horizon. First up, the Chicago International Puppet Theatre Festival promises to bring some enchanting performances from January 18 to 28. Then, we’ve got Chicago Restaurant Week from January 19 to February 4, offering a chance to explore some amazing local eats. If you’re up for some winter fun, mark your calendar for Polar Adventure Days on January 20 and February 17 at Big Marsh Park. Moving into February, it’s all about the arts with Chicago Theatre Week from February 8 to 18, followed by the adrenaline of the Chicago Auto Show from February 10 to 19. Wrapping up the quarter, let’s welcome the Lunar New Year 2024, the Year of the Dragon, with festivities in Uptown on February 17 and Chinatown on February 18.”

Leentje De Leeuw, Editor in Chief, Concierge Preferred Magazine

“The FlyOver at Navy Pier is the talk of the town for 2024! Opening this spring, it’s a mesmerizing journey through Chicago’s wonders—its people, stories, architecture, and culture. I’ve got my eye on live music too, with tickets secured for the Black Pumas at the Salt Shed on Jan. 25. And being a true foodie, Restaurant Week and exploring new spots are high on my list, all featured in this magazine.”

Dave Lifton, Editor, Concierge Preferred Magazine

“January brings the Rebirth Brass Band from New Orleans, a favorite, and in February, it’s ‘An American in Paris’ with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. During the chilly months, you’ll find me at Far North Side pho and ramen houses, or simply soaking in the frozen beauty of Lake Michigan from my window.”

Natalie Conrad, Editorial Intern, Concierge Preferred Magazine

“2024 is set to rock Chicago’s theaters with musicals like ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ in February and ‘Pretty Woman’ in March at the James M. Nederlander Theatre. I’m eager for the Lyric Opera House’s ‘Cinderella’ in January. Concerts are my go-to, and March has Zach Bryan at the United Center and the Paper Kites at Thalia Hall. Get ready for a music-packed year!”
