Warm Up In One of Chicago’s Coziest Restaurants

Share

GT Prime

Marcus Hollis – Omni Hotel

This chic River North steakhouse is just as delicious as it is beautiful. Their hearty menu of steaks, small plates, and grill options perfectly complements the warm interior of edgy mood lighting, rich leather, and wood finishes.

Tortoise Supper Club

Russell Zwolinski – The Hotel Chicago – Autograph Collection

Nothing screams ‘cozy’ like a fireplace! Tortoise Supper Club is the place to be for upscale traditional American fare and gorgeous cocktails while sitting in front of a fire. Make sure to check out Tortoise Club on Fridays or Saturdays – you’ll be accompanied by live jazz!

High Five Ramen

Alex Yu – The Peninsula

Head to this intimate subterranean hotspot for updated takes on ramen, fresh Japanese beer, and even slushy cocktails! High Five Ramen boasts dim lighting and a small space, so it’s the perfect spot to warm up on a chilly day.

Watershed

Mat Chapman – . JW Marriott

This creative, cozy cocktail lounge as a vintage feel with a modern twist. A robust whiskey list complements shareable plates fully captures the vibe of Watershed, and you’ll love the comfy couch seating!

Bavette’s Bar & Beouf

Kimmy Collins – Aon Center

This dark and moody French steakhouse is the place to be for rich ribeyes, house made desserts, and strong cocktails! Decorated with red leather banquettes, chandeliers, and fun jazz, Bavette’s has the makings of a perfect winter dinner.

Callout for Etienne Padin – Eurostars Magnificent Mile

I love Little Bad Wolf at the edge of Andersonville and Edgewater – it’s always a wonderful local experience, and walking distance to many local theatres, museums, and shops!

Callout for Eric Loughlin – theWit Hotel

I’d certainly hit Trattoria #10 if you’re downtown and looking for something cozy amidst the chaos.  They have an underground space and the restaurant has a lovely, classic feel to it.  The food is outstanding, their coziest dish is the orecchiette with some spicy sausage and bitter rapini in a savory sauce.  You should also get ravioli, it’s what they’re known for!
