This 1.25 mile walk is located right in the heart of downtown Chicago and it truly has so much to offer. Besides the view being absolutely amazing, you can also enjoy a wide array of attractions that are located right within this section of this city! Check out some of our favorites that are either open now or opening back up soon.

City Winery

Relax with a nice glass of wine, great food, and beautiful music from their intimate concerts as you enjoy a night out and away from all your stresses.This experience will surely indulge your senses and whisk you away to your happy place. 

McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum

Gain a deeper appreciation for the river by delving into its history, specifically the history of its moving bridges. This five story museum has everything you could want to know and more. From its mechanics background to the amazing 360 degree view of the city and the river, any day here is a day well spent. 

Chicago Architecture Center

Whether you’re in a walking mood or a boating mood, you can spice up your day by adding a little new knowledge to your adventure. Join a guided architecture walking or cruise tour to learn anything and everything you could want to know about the surrounding designs of the city!

Island Party Hut 

The name says it all… this place will transport you to the perfect island paradise. It’s always a party when you’re sitting by the riverside drinking mai-tais and playing games! Get ready to get your tiki on as you soak up the sun at their outdoor patio. 

Urban Kayaks 

Get ready to grab a kayak and head on down to a tour that sounds most appealing to you! Some of the choices include: the historic Chicago tour, the sunset tour, the ultimate firework tour, the happy hour paddle, the twilight paddle, or the riverwalk into paddle. When you’re floating down the river enjoying the majestic scenery, every option is sure to leave you speechless and in awe.

Art on theMART

Check out the 5-story-tall video installation of beautiful artwork that will take over the side of the Merchandise Mart. This year’s inspiration is: “Hope is a Light”, which is the perfect theme as we continue to make our way through the tough times we’ve all encountered this past year.

Treat yourself to a nice and fancy dinner with an extensive menu and beautiful river view! Can it get any better than that? At Smith and Wollensky’s, it does! Here’s some of what they have to offer at this white tablecloth restaurant: lobster, oysters, salads, chicken, burgers, steak, and a whole lot more!

Planning a day around the RiverWalk will put you in the heart of downtown Chicago with all the sights and restaurants you could dream of on your trip. Start early, stay late, and, most importantly, enjoy!
