Rock history takes on a new meaning at Stay Tuned: Rock on TV! Check out archival footage, over 300 original artifacts, and new interviews from some of TVs biggest rock & roll moments like The Beatles’ appearance on Ed Sullivan Show, the formation of MTV, and the popularity of variety shows like Sonny & Cher.

From American Bandstand to TRL

Outfits and footage and instruments – oh my! Feast your eyes on some of music’s most iconic pieces of history like the outfits worn by the Jackson Five in their “I Want You Back” performance on Hollywood Palace, Dick Clark’s original microphone on American Bandstand, artifacts from the very first video to air on MTV, and Cyndi Lauper’s dress from the “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” video.

Stories and Sounds

This multimedia exhibit doesn’t leave you experiencing the impressive displays on your own. Throughout the exhibit, you’ll hear exclusive narration and footage from celebs like Mike Meyers, Kelly Clarkson, Cyndi Lauper, Darlene Love, Paul Shaffer, and Kevin Eubanks so that you can hear the backstories of how rock & roll shaped television and pop culture.
