Savor the Best of the Midwest at Farmhouse Chicago

Share

With its rustic décor of salvaged materials, a vintage Bevador holding bottles of beer, and a beautifully-curated menu that shines a spotlight on the best the Midwest has to offer each season, River North’s Farmhouse restaurant is an urban tavern that epitomizes the term “local. No matter if you’re just looking to belly up with a craft beer at the bar or go all-out with a four-course meal, this Chicago gem won’t disappoint.

Feast from the Farm

While the super seasonal menu here changes every two months, the focus is on American comfort food favorites, steaks, and chops that simply let the ingredients shine. Make sure to order the Wisconsin beer-battered cheese curds which are, hands-down, the best in town and definitely save room for dessert.

All Local Libations

With over 28 craft brews on tap–all of which are from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana or Michigan–the all locally-sourced beverage program here alone makes it worth a visit. They even have five proprietary ciders made from organic apples, our favorite of which is Don’t Tell William.
