You’re going to want to fight your brain when it tells you to stop eating after spending some time at the delicious Sam Adams Lakeview Taco Fest this weekend.
The Southport Corridor will be filled with tacos, live music, lucha libre, and more than a dozen eateries serving some of the juiciest tacos in the city.
Tortillas will be the vehicle of all your favorite meats and vegetables. As you travel the festival trying the different tacos, you can text your vote for your favorite to help determine who will be named Chicago’s best taco. So come hungry as you can gorge yourself on chicken, steak, chorizo, beef, mushroom, seafood, goat, and duck taco goodness.
When you need to take a breather, head to one of the two stages that will have live music across the two days. You can also catch lucha libre wrestling daily at 5 p.m. at the corner of Southport and Cornelia.
Sam Adams Lakeview Taco Fest takes place Sept. 15-16 on Southport Avenue between Addison and Roscoe Streets from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.. There is a suggested donation of $10 to benefit the Friends of Lakeview & the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce. For more information visit www.chicagoevents.com/events/lakeviewtacofest/
