Rock Your Labor Day With These Three Music Festivals

Share

You can spend your last days of summer watching “Grease” and singing along to “Summer Nights.” That’s normal, right? Or you can rock out with your friends through a music-packed weekend.

Chicago Jazz Festival

The 37th Annual Chicago Jazz Festival returns this weekend with jazz’s best and also up-and-coming musicians. What started as a tribute to the late Duke Ellington in Grant Park has transformed into the one of the world’s free and most extensive gathering of different jazz musicians from around the world.

You can catch over 50 performances during the four-day festival from avant-garde to Latin that are all worthy of your time. Featured performers include Marquis Hill, Butler, Bernstein & The Hot 9, Chico Freeman, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and the Jeff Parker Trio.

With this year’s lineup it’s easy to see why. North Coast Music Festival will hit all genres with a lineup that features D’Angelo and The Vanguard, Widespread Panic, The Chemical Brothers, The Roots, Wale, Portugal The Man, Steve Aoki, and much more.
