Are you ready to go gourmet? Join Chicago Gourmet Sept. 14-30, 2020 for a fun, food-filled event where guests will get to try delicious dishes from different local restaurants. The event will also offer celebrity chef virtual cooking demos giving guests the opportunity to watch or learn new cooking skills with meal-kits delivered right to their front door.
This year, the highlighted talent will include celebrity chefs such as Lorena Garcia, who is best known for her TV roles on Top Chef Masters and America’s Next Great Restaurant. Garcia is just one of the 20 chefs featured by Chicago Gourmet. The live virtual demos will also feature a suggested cocktail from Aerol Spritz or wine pairings from JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery. Those who participate, are able to purchase the wine pairings as well as receiving an additional 10% and FREESHIP for free shipping by using the promo code CG2020.
The Go Gourmet Dinner series will provide “big flavors in small gatherings,” with Mexican, Asian, Italian and other cuisines. All the dinners will follow current restaurant guidelines which include social distancing and facial coverings. Prices are per person and include tax, gratuity and cocktail or wine pairing.
During the 16 day event there will be a silent auction hosted by Chicago Gourmet and the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. The auction will include a collection of wine and spirits, dining experiences, sports/entertainment packages and more. All efforts this year will support the IRAEF Restaurant Employee Relief Fund, created as a statewide emergency assistance fund that provides financial support to restaurant industry workers. The fund will provide one-time financial support to restaurant workers in Illinois who faced hardships during COVID-19. In addition, Chicago Gourmet partnered with the IRA Educational Foundation which offers scholarships for students who aspire a career path in culinary or hospitality.
Chicago Gourmet is dedicated to continue celebrating safely this year while supporting the community. For more information and ticket reservations visit their website.
