The Original Mother’s will be celebrating its 50th anniversary with an all out ’90s party on Sunday, Oct. 7. The Gold Coast hot spot has been a staple on Division Street as a must-stop for locals, tourists, and singles who are looking for a true “Chicago” party experience. Not only does Mother’s feature live music—including DJ’s every night—and a massive dance floor, it can accommodate up to 500 party goers. Fun fact? The legendary establishment was featured in the popular ’80s movies, About Last Night with Rob Lowe and Demi Moore.
The anniversary party is part of the inaugural I LOVE THE 90’s TOUR featuring Vanilla Ice, Rob Base, Young MC, and Tone Loc.
Ticket prices start at $60 and can be purchased on Eventbrite. Attendees will dance to ’90s favorites like “Ice, Ice Baby”, “Funky Cold Medina”, and more. Doors open at 8 p.m. VIP packages are also available and include a variety of alcohol, Champagne, Bacardi rum, Absolut vodka, snacks, the best seating in the house, and a VIP Pre-Party starting at 6:30 p.m.
