October-facepaint-2015Scare up some not-so-frightful fall fun at the Chicago Children’s Museum at Navy Pier with their (Not So) Spooky Halloween lineup of kid-friendly activities that spark creativity and pint-sized imaginations.

Here’s a look at October’s special lineup, included with regular Museum admission:

Paint Your Face (weekdays at 11:15 a.m.)
Transform your face into a pumpkin, superhero, sea creature—whatever you choose. Or just turn your face green in our DIY face painting workshop!

Slime! (Fridays through Sundays at 2:15 p.m.)
This slime promises to drip in a most disgusting way. Take home a vial of this icky goo, and save it for Halloween night!

Frankentoys (Saturdays and Sundays at 11:15 a.m.)
What has the head of a bear and 18 wheels? A frankentoy! Construct your own creepy creature using toy parts and other extraordinary junk.

Costuming (Oct. 9-13, 16, 19-20, 23-27, 30-Nov. 1 at 1, 2 & 3 p.m., Oct. 8, 22 and 29 at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5:30 & 6:30 p.m. and Oct. 15 at 1, 2, 3 & 4 p.m.)
Transform yourself into a creature of your own design using fabrics, buttons, and fun recycled materials.

Costume Design with Anna Glowacki (Oct. 15 at 5:30 & 6:30 p.m. and Oct. 17-18 at 1, 2, 3 & 4 p.m.)
Dig deep into your imagination and add a “wow” accessory to your Halloween garb with costume designer Anna Glowacki. Perhaps a glittering crown for an intergalactic princess? How about a swirling cape for a futuristic superhero? Anything goes in this hands-on workshop!

Kids Create: Make with Nature (Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
Dig, sort and play with natural materials, such as leaves, pinecones and bark. Create art inspired by the beauty of the season. These workshops are especially for ages five and younger.
