We’re keeping up with the newest and most trendy restaurants in the city, and we have some updates. This list is full of some of Chicago’s new food hot spots that have opened this year. If you are a veteran to Chicago and you’re looking for a new go-to place, this list is perfect. Or, if you are a first-timer wanting to ride the trends, you’ll also love this.

RPM Seafood

In January, this salty seafood spot became a reality. Opened by the same people who own RPM Steak and RPM Italian, these cooks are total vets. Delight your taste buds with this marine cuisine. Its upscale atmosphere makes for a perfect outing and its food will satisfy.

Chicago Board Game Café

Talk about trendy! This unique eatery features a fun theme, you guessed it, board games! Logan Square is proud to have had this new spot since February. With Vietnamese and Spanish small plates, flavors will be flowing.

Swift and Sons Tavern

This swanky Oyster bar is a perfect location for a date, outing, or celebration. American classics and seafood specials meet to form a tasty menu. Enjoy the sunny, window filled dining room while selecting from a variety of delicious dishes. Born in March, this restaurant has to be put on your to-go list!

Kennedy Rooftop

With June came Kennedy, and let me tell you, the view is breathtaking! Enjoy an enlivening cocktail while you gaze at the glistening lights of Chicago’s lovable skyline. Their food follows a mixed culture theme, so there is something for every one’s taste buds to savor. If you are into photos, this place has no shortage of opportunities!

Buzzed Bull Creamery

Just in time for July’s heat, Buzzed Bull has opened, promising a sweet treat and a refreshing spirit – all in one! This one-of-a-kind creamery is taking ice cream to another level. Liquid nitrogen technology gives their ice creams a powerful twist that you are sure to love. This place is also family friendly; they have non-alcoholic ice cream and a nice atmosphere that everyone will love.
