Green Mill Cocktail Lounge

Swing on over to Green Mill Cocktail Lounge for a night of drinks and jazz. With historic roots in Uptown, Green Mill is one of Chicago’s most iconic music venues once entertaining Al Capone and company. Live performances 7 days a week from both big-name and local artists are sure to get you into a groove!

Kingston Mines

“Hear blues and drink booze” at this Chicago staple! Kingston Mines has been an integral part of Chicago’s music scene since the 1960s and is still going strong today. This award winning club will delight you with tasty food, great drinks, and some of the city’s best live music. Kingston Mines has hosted some of the biggest names in blues as well as local artists just getting their start. Check it out for a historic musical experience you won’t soon forget!

aliveOne

This one of a kind venue with a passion for live music is a Chicago must see! Each Wednesday features a new live band and the club’s resident band plays every Thursday- but that doesn’t mean you can’t hear live music on other nights as well. aliveOne is home to the city’s only “all-live jukebox” where you can replay recordings of past live performances! Check it out any night of the week for half-priced happy hour and some rockin’ tunes. 

Andy’s Jazz Club

One of the most respected jazz venues in Chicago, Andy’s Jazz Club pairs top notch live music with casual dining for an exciting night on the town. Staying true to its roots, Andy’s makes sure to feature the best artists from right here in the city! With 4 shows a night, 5 days a week, there’s plenty of music to be heard here. Make a reservation and get ready for a night of swingin’ and singin’!

The Hideout

Spend a Saturday night at The Hideout- a cozy prohibition-era bar perfect for live music and dancing the night away! Entertaining people from all walks of life, this is a place for those who don’t fit in- and don’t want to fit in. Dating all the way back to the 1930s, The Hideout has so much rich history tied to it that makes for an unforgettable night out. Nightly shows featuring live music and other performance arts highlight local indie artists and of course nothing is ever mainstream. Get out of your comfort zone and head over to The Hideout!

Buddy Guy’s Legends

This world renowned blues club is overflowing with the history of Chicago’s music scene. Buddy Guy’s stage has been graced with performers from all over the world, including some of the biggest names in music. From Eric Clapton to David Bowie and even pop stars like John Mayer, this club has seen everything. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Buddy Guy’s remains temporarily closed but has plans to open back up in a big way soon! Keep an eye out on social media for their return and help them come back with a bang!

Empty Bottle

Getting their start as a hole-in-the-wall joint in the Ukranian Village, Empty Bottle has grown into one of the best locations for indie-rock lovers to hear live music, drink cheap beer, and have a lot of fun. Open 7 nights a week, check out this bar to see both local and touring alternative rock bands while grabbing a bite to eat.
