In this day and age it is no longer enough to simply party all day watching a collection of the world’s best and brightest musical talents while they perform their hearts out for thousands of their devout followers. To ensure the party continues once Lollapalooza shuts its doors for the day, most of the bigger acts have secured additional shows to perform at local music halls and bars at night for their most hardcore supporters to get one more listen while they’re still in Chicago. This also becomes a great opportunity for those who didn’t get one of those coveted tickets to the main festival because these after shows are open to the public. Friday, July 31
Tyler the Creator will be playing a show to follow up his main set and will perform at Concord Musichall. The doors open at 10 p.m. and this will be an 18 and up concert featuring Badbadnotgood and Taco, tickets are $30 plus processing.
Also on Friday night will be Peking Duk performing on the ROOF on theWit starting at 10 p.m. for a 21 and up only crowd.
Saturday, August 1
The Saturday night lineup kicks off with MSTRKRFT with Nick Bassett, Servanté, and Hiroko Yamamura at Sound-Bar. Doors open at 10 p.m. for a 21 and up crowd and tickets need to be bought in advance online if you want to be in attendance.
Also on Saturday night will be Galantis featuring Jack Novak on the ROOF on theWit. This is yet another 21 and up show.
Sunday August 2
For those who will still be carrying on after the extravagant weekend festivities, Nero will play his after-show Sunday night at 10 p.m. at the Mid. Featuring JackLNDN, this will also be an event for 21 and older fans and tickets must be bought in advance for this event as well.
Finally, The Chainsmokers will have their turn at the ROOF on theWit starting at 10 p.m. for a 21 and up crowd.
