Whether you’re the next Celine Dion or require liquid courage, there’s a karaoke stage calling your name every day of the week in Chicago. Step up to the mic at these karaoke bar favorites—broken down by neighborhood. 

Loop

Brando’s Speakeasy – 343 S Dearborn

Disguised as a vintage cocktail lounge, you wouldn’t expect Brando’s to offer karaoke seven nights a week. Starting at 7 pm Monday through Sunday, you can choose from over 40,000 tracks to sing while enjoying their daily drink specials. 

South Loop

Reggie’s Music Joint – 2105 S State

This laid-back bar and grill is a South Loop fixture offering live shows, 70+ beers, and some of the best BBQ chicken wings around. Every Wednesday at 8 pm, you can join the long list of people who have performed on their stage by taking part in live band karaoke.

River North

Mom’s Place – 650 N Dearborn

A Chicago gathering spot, Mom’s Place is made up of three bars where you can listen to live music, sing karaoke, shoot pool and play shuffleboard. Karaoke is now available Tuesday through Saturday starting at 9 pm. The year-round colored lights strung throughout will no doubt make you feel like a star on stage. 

Lincoln Park

Shoe’s Pub – 1134 W Armitage

Thursday through Saturday, grab a brew and sing at tune at Shoe’s where less is more. Marty’s cam will capture your performance while you sing the night away at this popular karaoke pub.

Lakeview

Trader Todd’s – 3216 N Sheffield

A true karaoke bar, Trader Todd’s is the only spot that opens its stage 364 days out of the year, Christmas Day excluded. Order a tiki cocktail and sing along if you’re too shy to take the mic at this Lakeview staple. 

Roscoe’s Tavern – 3356 N Halsted

Monday’s can be a drag, but not at Roscoe’s Tavern. Honey West hosts karaoke every Monday starting at 10 pm. The competition is known to be fierce, so warm up those pipes with a shot or two before you hit the stage. 

Uptown

Uptown Lounge – 1136 W Lawrence

This northside late-night bar is the perfect hangout after catching a show at the Aragon Ballroom or Riviera Theater. Open until 4 am, explore their selection of 100+ craft beers while you karaoke late into the night. 

Carol’s Pub – 4659 N Clark

This honky-tonk bar has been featuring live country-western music, line dancing and karaoke since 1973. “Pop up karaoke” starts at 7:30 pm—alternating Tuesdays with $6 old fashioneds, $5 craft drafts and $4 fireball shots on special to get you warmed up. 

Avondale

Alice’s Lounge – 3556 W Belmont 

After one visit to Alice’s Lounge, you’ll see why it’s one of the most popular karaoke spots in the city. The regulars rule the mic here so don’t come expecting to sing more than one song on a busy night. Karaoke is open Wednesdays through Saturday starting at 11 pm.

Edelweiss Tavern – 3808 W Belmont 

Edelweiss Tavern is your friendly neighborhood bar, equipped with a pool table, darts, Touchtunes jukebox and lively karaoke parties on Friday and Saturday nights. Choose from the DJ’s original collection of over 100,000 songs at this European dive.

Bucktown

Louie’s Pub – 1659 W North 

Louie’s digital karaoke system can instantly download your song of choice. Open since 1987, patrons have been enjoying the diverse beer list and free popcorn here for over 30 years. Karaoke goes down Tuesday through Sunday starting at 8 p.m.

Wicker Park

Nick’s Beer Garden – 1516 N Milwaukee 

Freshly renovated in 2020, Nick’s Beer Garden has it all with live music, karaoke, DJs, a pool table and patio. Get the party started on Monday with Nick’s karaoke dance party, starting at 10 pm every day. 

Lincoln Square

Hidden Cove – 5336 N Lincoln

Not only is karaoke Hidden Cove’s main event, but this dive is also open daily until 4 am. Hit the large dance floor, swing and sing the night away until the wee hours. 

Lincoln Karaoke – 5526 N Lincoln

Located in the northside of Lincoln Square, Lincoln Karaoke is the best spot in the city if you’re looking for your own private karaoke party. While in your own private room, you’ll be offered an extensive list of cocktails, beers and even VIP bottle service. Whether it’s a birthday, corporate event or just a large group, Lincoln Karaoke can accommodate.

Chinatown

Sakura Karaoke Lounge – 234 W Cermak

One of the best-known karaoke spots in Chinatown, Sakura not only offers private VIP rooms but also has a bar with its own karaoke stage and full dance floor, so the party is popping no matter what your plans are.

Old Irving Park

Sidekicks – 4424 W Montrose

This karaoke bar is stuck in the 80s with its décor of neon signs and wood paneling, and catalog of songs. If karaoke isn’t your thing, there are plenty of dart boards to focus your eye on. 

Logan Square

Café Mustache – 2313 N Milwaukee

Voted “Chicago’s Best Non-traditional Music Venue,” Café Mustache offers karaoke every Sunday at 8 pm. Some have been known to describe a Sunday night at Cafe Mustache as “legendary.”

Fulton Market

Punch Bowl Social – 310 N Green

This 30,000-square-foot entertainment complex offers bowling, arcade games, a bar and full dining room. The surprise is the two private karaoke rooms you can reserve based on your party size (1 to 10 people). If you must wait for a room, grab a bite or show off your shuffleboard skills in the arcade.
