March 1 marked the start of International Women’s Month, and WNDR Chicago in the West Loop is hosting a series of events to celebrate women, alongside new and groundbreaking installations.

Professors from University of Illinois Chicago’s School of Design, Austin Watson and Pedro Neves, created WNDR’s most innovative project yet. The brand new Touch installation allows guests to explore the relationship between humans and technology. Like everything else at WNDR, this installation encourages guests to interact with the art, which in this case is a seamless cube with flexible projection surfaces. With each interaction comes a visual and auditory response that helps to create new art.

International Women’s Month Events

Ring in International Women’s Month with an evening full of dancing, connection and female-focused fun. On March 21, WNDR is hosting WNDR After Dark: Femmes Night Out. DJ MO Mami will keep the good vibes going as guests dance on an illuminated floor and get temporary tattoos.

The festivities don’t stop there. The next night, March 22, WNDR is collaborating with Published Studio’s series To Make Widely Known, a Chicago-based program that highlights local artisans. Paige Crawford’s organization A League of Their Own will take the spotlight. A League of their Own encourages women from all backgrounds to come together through recreational sports and wellness.

End the month on March 30 with WNDR’s yoga class in partnership with Zen Yoga Garage. Relax and unwind by engaging in breathing and movement exercises, all while immersing yourself in WNDR’s installations.

Renovated Museum Shop

Upon your visit, don’t forget to check out the museum’s new and improved retail space, now reimagined as Camp WNDR. Drawing inspiration from whimsical camping wonderlands full of starry nights and childlike fun, Camp WNDR offers guests curated art pieces, interactive merchandise and exclusive WNDR-branded items.

More information and tickets to these events are available at WNDR Museum’s website.
