To celebrate Fat Tuesday, and National Pisco Sour Day, Tanta is offering King Cake (Pisco) Sour during the week of February 12, in honor of NOLA’s traditional King Cake. Additionally, Tanta offers a pisco-based cocktail made with blue spirulina, turmeric, and dried pitaya (dragon fruit). A portion of the proceeds will be donated to support Peru’s Pachacútec Culinary Institute.

This “Party Gras” weekend, Lottie’s Pub is offering Mardi Gras specials all weekend long, from Thursday, February 8 to Tuesday, February 13. Guests can pair a $10 Ina Mae hurricane or $6 Fireball with NOLA-inspired small dishes such as $8 gumbo or $10 Cajun shrimp tacos. Visit Lottie’s website for more information on these holiday specials.

On Saturday, February 10, you don’t have to pick just one location to celebrate Mardi Gras. With a Mardi Gras Beer Crawl ticket, you can visit a trail of destinations and try exclusive drink specials. From 2 to 10 p.m., enjoy your party drinks with a souvenir Mardi Gras beer koozie, beads on beads, dancing, and live bands and DJ’s. The party starts at The Cauldron Chicago, and tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite or at The Cauldron from 2 to 4 p.m.

The party lasts all month at Taureaux Tavern. In February, enjoy festive menu offerings, including specialty cocktails the week of February 12 through February 16. Try Gumbo as Soup du Jour and Boudin Sausage Croquettes. Pair your favorite dish with a cocktail named Fracture de NOLA, made in a festive green and purple color split when served to you.
