As the summer winds down, that doesn’t mean the city’s festivities leave with the season. There are plenty of festivals into the fall months to celebrate!

Taste of Greektown

Experience Mediterranean culture in the city at Taste of Greektown. Enjoy traditional Greek food, live bands and dancers, and on-site activities like gyro eating contests, from Friday, August 24 through Sunday, August 26.

Grant Park Music Festival

The Grant Park Musical Festival has been a city sensation for over 80 years, moving from Grant Park bandshells to adjacent Millennium Park in 2004.  During a ten-week season, the world-class orchestra and chorus celebrates classical music in the state-of-the-art Jay Pritzker Pavilion, designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry.

Chicago Jazz Festival

Along with classical music, the city is celebrating its jazz roots with the Chicago Jazz Festival at Millennium Park and the Chicago Cultural Center. Enjoy performances from Chicago’s best jazz talents along with notable musicians from across the world from Thursday, September 1 through Sunday, September 4.

Sundays on State

The Chicago Loop Alliance invites you to its Sundays on State Street festival series. On August 7, 21, and September 4, Chicago’s iconic State Street will be shut down and filled with workshops, vendors, food, live music, dance, theater performances, and more!
