Family-friendly Spring Break Activities


This spring break may not be like the past, but there are still plenty of awesome options to keep you and your family busy! Chicago is dedicated to responsibly reopening businesses, which means there are so many fun activities for you to experience. Below are just a few that have been reopening their doors and are excited to welcome guests!

Lincoln Park Zoo

With nearly 200 species to learn about and explore, the zoo is the perfect place for any animal lovers! Face masks and reservations are required for entry. 

Skating Ribbon at Maggie Daley Park 

Grab your skates and get ready for some fun! The ribbon reopens on April 30th, so make sure you don’t miss out! Other park attractions are slowly reopening too so be sure to check their website for all the details.

Shedd Aquarium

Dive into the underwater world as you make your way through the mesmerizing exhibits that await you! With extensive safety precautions, the Shedd is doing their absolute best to keep guests comfortable and happy. 

Field Museum

Go back in time when dinosaurs roamed the earth as you immerse yourself into this awe-inspiring experience! From Pharaohs to the Chicago World’s Fair, there’s something to keep everyone’s attention at this natural history museum.

360 CHICAGO Observation Deck

Ever wonder what Chicago looks like from 1,000 feet above the Magnificent Mile? Come see for yourself on the observation deck! From 94 floors up, you can see Chicago’s best views from every direction.

Garfield Park Conservatory 

What better way to welcome spring than by going to the conservatory! Check out all the beautiful plants in tropical temperatures that are sure to transport you. Make sure to book a time-entry reservation before you go.

Chicago Riverwalk 

A free experience that allows for fresh air and exercise too, what could be better! Soak up that beautiful springtime Chicago weather and enjoy the beautiful scenery and stop at one of the restaurants for a refreshing beverage along the way.

Morton Arboretum

If you’re a nature lover, the Morton Arboretum will never disappoint you! Take a stroll through 1,700 acres of plants from around the world for an experience you’ll never forget while enjoying the beautiful weather.

Bobby’s Bike Tour

Another great experience with fresh air and exercise, Bobby’s Bike Tour will surely bring the fun! Touring through Chicago’s best neighborhoods, the view will never fail to leave you in amazement.
