Summer in Chicago means lots of time outdoors! The outdoor spaces in this city come alive when the weather starts warming up so it’s a great time to visit and explore. We taped some of our concierge to share what some of their favorite ways to soak up the sun and city are.
Philippe Gills – Chef Concierge, Les Clefs d’Or USA, The Langham Chicago
So many options! Try an architecture boat tour, discovering Millennium Park, or walking the lakefront trail.
Bob Klees – Chef Concierge, Pendry Chicago
If you can swing it, a boat at the Playpen is the way to experience a Chicago summer.
Luis Torres – Concierge, Trump International Hotel & Tower
Nothing beats an architectural boat tour by the Wendella company. They are up and running and welcoming back visitors and locals alike to take in the breathtaking views of Chicago’s river and lake scenery. It’s always great to be able to view our city’s iconic architecture while relaxing aboard Wendella’s fleet of boats.
Morgan Jae Cohen – Chief Concierge, Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile
I love bike riding along the lakefront! The views of the lake and the city are amazing and you can make stops along the way to take it all in. If you don’t own a bike (like me) you can rent a Divvy Bike!
Mark Kraemer – Concierge, Royal Sonesta Chicago River North
Fun for family and friends, I would absolutely recommend taking a Segway tour of Chicago. It’s a great experience and you’ll get to see so much of the city in one little tour.
