2015 and 2016 are turning into big comic book and sci-fi years with the upcoming Avengers film, the Daredevil Netflix series, the new Star Wars film, and the upcoming Batman v. Superman film. Get your fix at this year’s  Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2).

C2E2 turns six years old this and is ready to bring out your inner geek with countless panels, booths, contests, screenings, and activities. For those who are fans of all the Spider-Man, X-Men, Avengers, and Iron Man movies get the opportunity to meet and get your photograph taken with the creator of those great heroes, Stan Lee. “Walking Dead” fans don’t want to miss the panel with Chad L. Coleman who plays Tyrese in the AMC series. Fans of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” need to go to the Game of Thrones: A Panel of Ice and Fire, featuring Jason Momoa, who plays Khal Drogo and Finn Jones, who plays Ser Loras Tyrell.

Probably one of the best things to do C2E2 is to just watch all the great attendees dress up in costumes and the best place to catch them this year will be at the Crown Champions of Cosplay. Your eyes will be amazed by how amateurs can create costumes just as good or better than the movies. The judges are heavyweights in costume design like Ann Foley, costume designer for “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” and Neville Page, creature designer for “Avatar” and “Star Trek.”

On top of all the screenings and events make sure not to miss the heart of C2E2—the comic book publishers, artists, and toy makers. Marvel fans won’t want to miss the series of panels on the future Secret Wars story line that will alter the Marvel universe as we know it.

The Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo will be taking place April 24 – 26 at McCormick Place South Building located at 2301 S. Lake Shore Dr. For more information on the countless activities and ticket prices visit c2e2.com.
