Chicago is the perfect place for family friendly events. Whether families choose to spend the day watching shows, visiting world-class museums or hanging out at Navy Pier, it won’t be hard to find the perfect activity to do with your family over spring break!  

Here’s a list of the best things to do during spring break that without a doubt make your family trip to Chicago fun and most memorable!  

Navy Pier

Go back in time 60 million years and discover 80 life-size, walking and animatronic dinosaurs with Jurassic Quest, the largest and most realistic traveling dinosaur show in North America that runs Friday, March 6th- Sunday March 8th at Navy Pier.  With a dinosaur exhibit that includes over 100 true to size dinosaurs, walking and stationary dinosaur rides, bounce houses, crafts, face painting and more, you are sure to have a dino-mite time no matter what age you are! Tickets starting at $24.

Blue Man Group 

Are you ready for the Blue Man Group to rock your world, blow your mind and unleash your spirit, this Chicago staple has been entertaining audiences for years.  From their high energy performance with a comedy flare it is without a doubt a mainstay in the Windy City. Their interactive performance creates great memories and a fun family experience!  

Shedd Aquarium 

We all love family bonding, but what better way to bond overnight during the Asleep with the Fishes at the Shedd Aquarium on either March 20th or 27th, where your family can experience the aquarium like never before! During this sleepover, families will experience animal and science activities, see an aquatic presentation, animal encounters, create aquatic crafts, participate in scavenger hunt and a Caribbean reef feeding dive.  Families will also be able to explore the open exhibition spaces throughout the evening. Maggie Daley Park 

Allow your children to roam free in the 20-acre playland of Maggie Daley Park. Donut Fest Chicago Burbs 

Calling all donut lovers! What better way to enjoy your Sunday Funday than at this fun-filled tasty event. For those of you who have a sweet tooth, enjoy sampling donuts from each station to the next, while naming your favorite Chicago donut too. Don’t forget to pace yourself from the sugar high, especially your kids! Located in the Chicago burbs on Sunday, March 29th at 1:00pm with tickets starting at $20 for adults and $15 for kids.  

Altitude Trampoline Park 

We all know how much energy young children can have.
