Chicago Chefs Cook for Ukraine

Share

On March 16 — the second anniversary of the COVID-19 lockdown — Chicago invites over 70 Chicagoland chefs to Navy Pier for the Chicago Cooks for Ukraine Presented by Lifeway Foods

In 2020 when restaurant doors closed, no one knew what the future would hold. Now, two years later, chefs open their arms to support Ukraine in light of the pain they are suffering.

In an effort to raise money for the people of Ukraine, on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Chicago is creating a chef-curated tasting event at Navy Pier. All proceeds from this event will go directly to World Central Kitchen — the first to the frontlines to provide meals in response to humanitarian, climate and community crises.

At this event you will be able to enjoy kefir, a staple of Eastern European cuisine for centuries. Kefir has served as a way for connection and community bonds with friends and family.

Not only can you try some amazing food for a good cause, but the event is also offering a special VIP meet and greet chef experience where you can enjoy exclusive access early admission to the Chicago Cooks for Ukraine event.
