If you turn on the radio today you’d be hard-pressed to find music with some substance, so the Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival is here to help.
For six weeks the Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival will take over six venues with 23 shows filled with roots musicians revealing their heart and soul on stage. The festival has hosted great acts such as The Avett Brothers, Bela Fleck, Grace Potter, Edward Sharpe, and Dr. Dog, and this year is no different.
Stand outs on the schedule include a three-night residency of jam band The String Cheese Incident at the Aragon Ballroom along with a three-night stay by the iconic Steve Earle at City Winery and a sure-to-be fun performance by Robert Randolph and the Family Band at City Winery.
The Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival runs from Jan. 9 — Feb. 21 at various venues. For a full schedule and tickets visit cbbfestival.com.
