Heading to a concert, a Bulls game, or a Blackhawks game? Make a day of it! From bars to restaurants to unique activities, there are several ways to extend the fun beyond the entertainment inside the United Center. Check out these fun things to do next time you venture out to the UC:
Kaiser Tiger
Alex Yu – The Peninsula
Beer gardens shouldn’t be limited to the summer and Kaiser Tiger knows that! Pre- or post-game head to Kaiser Tiger for a friendly game of table tennis or curling on their massive patio and toss back a few drinks and bites.
Billy Goat Tavern
John Dillon – Langham
“Cheezborger! Cheezborger! Cheezborger!” One of Chicago’s most renowned restaurants is Billy Goat Tavern and there is a location just blocks from the United Center. Stop in for a famous Cheezborger – made famous by the Saturday Night Live skit – and a little Chicago history before heading to the UC.
Bad Axe Throwing
Marcus Hollis – Omni Hotels
Looking for something you (probably) haven’t experienced before? Look no further than Bad Axe Throwing! You and your group can spend a couple hours catapulting axes toward a bullseye – the perfect friendly competition before heading to the UC
Callout from Eric Loughlin – theWit Hotel
I’ve never had a bad time at Park Tavern, which is a gastropub only a few blocks away. A nice, giant tap list as well as some solid upscale bar food it makes for a comfortable setting and also a fantastic place out there to get a Lyft pickup.
Callout from Mat Chapman – JW Marriott
I love to visit Rhine Hall Distillery on my way to concerts or games at the UC. Handmade fruit, forward brandies, and cocktails that are always a hit!
