It’s a Colorful Celebration
Blue Man Group performances are a celebration of human connection. Mixing art, music, comedy and state-of-the- art technology, the show encourages audiences to reconnect with their inner (and outer) child and see the world through a new perspective. Three bald and blue men explore our cultural norms with wonder, poking fun at our collective quirks and reminding us how much we all have in common. Backed by a live rock band, the Blue Men unify the audience for the show’s celebratory climax – an unforgettable, euphoric dance party.
You’re More than a Spectator
Whether it’s sharing Twinkies with the trio, donning a poncho in the splash zone, or being shamed as a latecomer audience participation, voluntary and involuntary, is a key component. Coupled with the hypnotic music and lively energy—if you’re not out of your seat dancing when the 90 minutes are up, you probably don’t have a pulse.
A Few Fun Facts
For kids and adults, many of the best parts of the show is when the Blue Men do what we’ve all been taught not to do—play with food and make a mess with paint. Every week the production goes through 50 gallons of paint, 32 pounds of Jell-O, 44 boxes of Twinkie Lights, 8 boxes of Cap’n Crunch cereal, 40 pieces of white chocolate Toblerone, and 385 marshmallows.
