Small Business Saturday + Live Storefront Sets = Chillfest

Share

Chillfest is back for its fifth year in Wicker Park and Bucktown with over 50 artists performing living-room style sets across the neighborhoods. Not only is this a great opportunity to get to know some of the local musicians, but they will be performing at some of the quintessential eateries, shops, bars, and venues in the area like Jackson Junge Gallery, Transit Tees, Little Broken Things, and more.

The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce coordinates this free one-day-only event each year which celebrates the creative and entrepreneurial roots of the neighborhoods by curating local musicians to perform in neighborhood storefronts at the start of the holiday shopping season, Small Business Saturday, Nov. 25 from 2-6 p.m.

Participating artists for ChillFest 2017 include: jazz-pop singer Elle Cassaza, alternative-electric rock group Personal Public; and pop duo Abandom.

Attendees can stroll from venue to venue, taking in the live music sets while shopping, having a drink or experiencing local art. Each business hosts 3-4 artists in a dedicated portion of its space, with musicians playing 20- to 60-minute sets, paired as closely as possible to the venue’s ambiance.
