Get ready to sit back, relax and enjoy some live music at Porchlight Music Theatre’s 14th Annual Chicago Sings Concert! On Monday August 5 at the Museum of Contemporary Art join some of Chicago’s best musicians and thespians to take a trip down memory lane and look back at the past 25 years of music.

This event honors artists whose music has made a positive impact on the world around them by emotionally moving audiences in Chicago and around the world with their beauty and artistry. Chicago Sings also raises money for Porchlight Music Theatre, so they can continue to put up stunning music and dance shows, as well as inspire and cultivate up and coming Chicago students through their classes and workshops.

The night will kick off at 6pm with complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres. At 7pm, the concert starts with only one intermission. The show will consist of highlights from renowned Broadway plays and musical classics such as Cabaret, In the Heights, Dream Girls, Ragtime, End of the Rainbow, Into the Woods and more. The night will also consist of honoring Gary Griffith by bestowing him The Guy Adkins Award for Excellence in the Advancement of Music Theatre in Chicago. This one night only event is truly an astonishing way to commemorate, acknowledge and honor some great artists whose work has inspired, impacted and shaped the past, present and future of music.
