Chicago’s eclectic West Town neighborhood showcases its thriving art scene at the 7th annual West Town Art Walk taking place Oct. 6-7. The unique aesthetic festival celebrates art in all forms – visual, musical, culinary, fashion – on Chicago Avenue in the heart of West Town. Admission is free and the event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
But the fun doesn’t end there. Like last year, the West Town Art Walk will be presented in conjunction with the West Town Food Truck Social, pairing together Chicago’s best food trucks with Chicago’s best artists. Attendees are encouraged to snack-and-stroll through West Town and enjoy innovative art in all forms in various retail outlets and restaurants on Chicago Avenue along with four-wheeled delicacies from Chicago’s most beloved food trucks. A Sampler Ticket will allow patrons to stroll around and try sample-sized portions from any food truck. All food and beverages will also be available for regular individual cash purchase. Sponsored beer tastings and family-activities in Eckhart Park, plus fresh tunes by local record stores will help set the vibe each day. The trucks will be stationed along Noble Street between Chicago Avenue and Chestnut Street.
