Navy Pier has teamed up with the Jazz Institute of Chicago once to host Water Colors presented by CIBC, a free, live jazz music series featuring top Chicago jazz artists.
Nearly every Friday now through Aug. 24, guests can enjoy 90-minute sets at the Lake Stage in Polk Bros Park, with performances ranging from emerging new talent, to established and seasoned artists. This Friday, Aug. 17 from 6:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m. hear award-winning trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Marquis Hill perform.
Hill is a highly-skilled jazz musician with a bent toward soulful post-bop, and also a Chicago native.
