The Salt Shed Partners With Grassroots Cannabis!

Share

The Salt Shed, Chicago’s newest performance space located at the historic Morton Salt complex, has partnered with Grassroots, a member of Curaleaf’s family of brands, to bring concertgoers an experience like no other.

The Salt Shed recently opened its doors on August 2, 2022. The riverside venue is truly unique, featuring a series of local food and drink vendors, such as Pizza Friendly Pizza, Goose Island and Cafe Tola. Additionally, visitors can shop from a curated selection of rotating small-business retailers: Black Moon Vintage, Tiny Opal Village, Semicolon Books and more.

The venue plans to open an indoor space in 2023 so concerts can continue throughout the year regardless of weather conditions.

As the site closes out its first summer, Curaleaf is providing courtesy pedicab rides to and from their dispensary on Weed Street and The Salt Shed from 4 to 8 p.m. Also, as part of this partnership with The Salt Shed, Curaleaf’s house brand Grassroots will provide exclusive swag and educate guests about cannabis once patrons enter the venue. Guests will enjoy photo opportunities and access to exclusive discounts at all of Curaleaf’s Illinois locations.

The Shed will host three more concerts this summer as part of its ‘Outside the Shed’ series. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will perform with Shemekia Copeland on September 22 and 23. Death Cab for Cutie will perform with Thao on September 24. Visit this new, edgy space for a night like no other. General admission tickets for all ages are available here.
