Feel like being a little shellfish? Treat yourself this weekend to all of the succulent crustacean meat you can eat at The Great American Lobster Fest at Navy Pier. Now in it’s second year, it is the largest lobster and seafood festival in the Midwest and they fly the coveted crustacean directly from Boston so you know it’s authentic.

New this year at The Great American Lobster Fest there will also be surf’n’turf options as well as the lobster hero feast, a VIP experience for you and five of your closest friends. With the lobster hero feast reservation you get a whopping 30 pounds of freshly steamed lobster, six drink tickets, six t-shirts, six live music tickets, and a family style serving of potatoes and corn-on-the-cob. The table reservation is for two hours and will give your group a prime view of the dazzling pilots of the Chicago Air and Water Show, so leave the diet at home and feast like royalty.

While this will be more than just a time to get some of the most delectable under-the-sea treats, the fest will also be underneath some overhead excitement courtesy of the legendary Chicago Air and Water Show and there will be the popular Aon Summer Fireworks at Navy Pier on Saturday night as well. There will also be live music all day, both days, headlined at night by The Original Wailers and all music performances will be at the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier. The festival will also have unique craft shopping as well as carnival games for the family.

The Great American Lobster Fest will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, Aug. 15th and 16 at Navy Pier located at 600 E. Grand Ave. Tickets are required for this event, for more information on The Great American Lobster Fest or how you can get tickets, visit americanlobsterfest.com.
