Get a Taste of Pilsen’s Rich Cultural Heritage at Pilsen Fest

Share

The 8th annual Pilsen Fest returns Aug 18-19 along with a “one village, one sound” objective that celebrates and embraces diversity, solidarity and unity. With a projected attendance of 80,000 this year, the growing, high-energy music and arts festival reflects the community spirit and creative drive of its eclectic neighborhood.

As always, Pilsen Fest aims to expose locals to the deep pool of cultural talent that exists in Pilsen and the Chicago area with its blend of live music, food, art, and handcrafted goods—aimed at highlighting the neighborhood’s Latino heritage. The outdoor street party also promotes cultural literacy and health and wellbeing through key partners like the bilingual magazine El BeiSMan and the Pilsen Community Market.

At its core, Pilsen Fest is a music festival, offering a vast array of genres and styles on three stages headlined annually by Grammy Award-winning and Latin Grammy Award-winning acts. View the full lineup of live music acts here.

Pilsen Fest runs from noon to 10 p.m. both days along Blue Island from 18th to 21st Streets. For more information, visit www.pilsenfestchicago.com
