
To kick off Women’s History Month, the Chicago chapter of Let’s Talk Womxn, a national organization of women-owned restaurateurs and food and beverage entrepreneurs, is having its 5th annual More Than March Bash on March 2, at Moe’s Cantina River North at 155 W. Kinzie St.
The night will have more than 30 tasting stations and cocktails by Let’s Talk Womxn restaurateurs with special guest speakers. You can see the full list of participants below. Entertainment includes a female DJ with viola accompaniment, drag show and dancing. The theme of the evening is “Shimmer and Shine,” and attendees are encouraged to dress according to their definition of the phrase.
Let’s Talk Womxn began in Chicago in 2020 with 15 local restauranteurs to “build the camaraderie, counsel, visibility, bargaining and economic power of its women entrepreneurs. Together.” It now consists of more than 850 entrepreneurs across 15 cities in the U.S. and Canada.

More Than March is LTW’s celebration of the women who own businesses in the food and beverage industry. The title refers to the idea that having only one month to recognize their achievements is not enough. It runs from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. for those who purchase General Admission tickets, while VIP ticket-holders can gain entry an hour earlier. Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite.
“Let’s Talk Womxn is hosting More Than March celebrations nationwide across most of our cities,” Let’s Talk Womxn and restaurateur, Rohini Dey said in a press release. “Chicago is the hub for our action movement. We believe it is more relevant than ever to celebrate women-power overtly.”
