Concierges' Favorites

Festivals are Back

Everybody knows Lollapalooza, Pitchfork, North Coast, and Riot Fest, but there are so many other COOL festivals coming back to Chicago this summer. We asked our beloved concierges to tell us about their favorite festivals.

GRANT PARK MUSIC FESTIVAL

“This is a tough one because there are so many festivals in June and July! I’m going to go with Grant Park Music Festival. Where else can you experience contemporary, classical and Broadway in the city’s best backyard? For free!”

Morgan Cohen – Sofitel Magnificent Mile

DO DIVISION

“My favorite festival is Do Division, always a really fun time!”

Terri Kolzow – The Palmolive Building

CHINATOWN FESTIVITIES

“The dragon boat race has been sponsored by the Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce for 20 years. It takes place this year at Ping Tom Memorial Park in Chinatown on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Chinese dragon boat racing dates back over 2,000 years and is a popular sport among Chinese and Asian communities all over the world. The Chicago Dragon Boat Race for Literacy is a family fun activity which carries on the tradition of dragon boat racing, promotes Asian culture and supports neighborhood literacy programs.”

“Chinatown Summer Fair celebrates its 43rd year this summer on July 30-31, 2022. Wentworth Avenue from Cermak to 24th Place will be closed to traffic on both days and filled with street vendors selling wares and food, entertainment on stage, and activities for all ages.”

Sharyne Moy Tu – Macy’s Official Chicago Visitor Information Center

ST. GEORGE GREEK ORTHODOX CHICAGO GREEK FESTIVAL

SHEFFIELD FEST

“My favorite festival is the St. George Greek Orthodox Chicago Greek Festival in conjunction with Sheffield Fest!”

Susan Alexander – Fashion Outlets of Chicago
