Cinco de Mayo celebrations are in full swing across Chicago’s vibrant culinary scene, with an array of restaurants offering enticing specials and festive atmospheres. From traditional Mexican fare to innovative cocktails, there’s something for every palate to savor during this week-long fiesta.

Moe’s Cantina

Moe’s Cantina is celebrating Cinco de Mayo all week! From Wednesday, May 1 to Sunday, May 5, enjoy festive decor and delicious Mexican food. The restaurant opens at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Cinco de Mayo week specials include a $30 Margarita Flight (any flavor) and Patron Margarita Towers, normally $80, will be only $60.


In celebration of donating over one million meals through The Tacombi Foundation since April 2020, Tacombi will be donating all cinco de Mayo proceeds to its foundation for the fourth year in a row. The Tacombi Foundation seeks to aid Mexican communities through food, accessibility, education and employment. 

Robert’s Pizza & Dough Co.

For Cinco de Mayo on Sunday, May 5th, Robert’s Pizza will have a live DJ playing Latin music from 5-8pm along with several fantastic food and drink specials including: $30 Margarita Flights,  Chicken Tinga Pizza (chicken in adobo sauce with onions, fresh mozzarella and Monterrey Jack, topped with radish, chopped onion, queso fresco, salsa verde, sour cream, and cilantro), Shrimp Ceviche, Chip & Guac, Pico de Gallo & Chips and Flan. Located on the Ogden Slip, Robert’s Pizza is the perfect retreat from the bustling downtown Chicago. The dog-friendly patio is an expansive cul-de-sac on the river offering beautiful views. 


To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Fora is offering a $15 margarita flight. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a special collaboration between LondonHouse Chicago and B-Cycled Bottles. LondonHouse Chicago is revealing a new tequila cocktail called “Mi Cielo” just in time for Cinco de Mayo. The beverage will be served in a unique, upcycled Clase Azul glass. Adobo Grill

Adobo Grill at Old Town will celebrate with a special Cinco de Mayo menu. The menu features appetizers like Cazuela de Queso, an Earthenware casserole of cheese, poblano rajas, and tomatillo sauce, and Huarache Norteno, corn masa “sandal” stuffed with beans, cheese, beef, and guacasalsa. Main menu items include Chile en Nogada stuffed with savory pork-veal, pine nuts, fruit, white rice, and walnut cream sauce, or Pescado en Dos Pipianes, pan-seared Halibut served with white rice, pipian rojo, and pipian verde. Angry Chef and his team  will be raising a glass to Cinco de Mayo with specialty dishes and drinks available throughout the day on Sunday, May 5th. Head to Wicker Park to enjoy Mixteca, comprised of chard broiled baby octopus, jumbo shrimp, quid, chicken breast, and fresh veggies with mojo-Criollo Maggi sauce, or the Guachinango Alo Veracruzana, an oven-roasted red snapper filets topped with Veracruzana sauce, and served with rice and beans. Pair any of these delicious dishes with one of Mirella’s Tavern’s drink specials, including Palomas, select beer and wine, well mixers, and Scarpetta Prosecco.
