Chicago Whiskey Business

Share

Chicago has a long and storied history with whiskey, dating back to the city’s early days as a hub for distilleries and breweries. Today, that legacy continues with a new generation of distillers and bars that are putting their own unique spin on this classic spirit.

Berkshire Room

Visit one of Chicago’s most respected whiskey venues. Known for its quality mixed drinks and focus on the customer, this River North craft cocktail lounge gets rave reviews. Try the Dealer’s Choice, a unique signature of the Berkshire Room cocktail menu: select your own flavor profile, spirit, and glassware and let the bartenders create a one-of-a-kind cocktail just for you.  No pretension, just a whole lot of class.

Longman & Eagle

Eat. Sleep. Whiskey.  You can do it all at Longman & Eagle, inspired by Chicago’s colorful historic inns.  With six guest rooms upstairs and two spaces for dining and drinking on the first floor, this Logan Square establishment is a contemporary take on the days when inns, pubs, and saloons were community centers. Enjoy one of Chicago’s most expanded lists of whiskey and spirits selections. Longman & Eagle also uses fresh, locally grown ingredients to create their delectable dining options.

Delilah’s

This Lincoln Park bar is known for its vast selection of 1,000 beers and spirit options, including an “insane” whiskey selection. But the pleasure of the place continues with Delilah’s locally known jukebox – known to be the best in town – and their DJs, who create a vibrant environment filled with music, from rock to soul to country. Check out Delilah’s, order a drink, and rock out!

Chief O’Neill’s

Not only does Chief O’Neill’s have a good selection of Irish whiskey and cocktails on the menu, the place is also known for live Irish music.

Lady Gregory’s Irish Bar and Restaurant

This popular Andersonville bar is a staple on the north side. If you’re a local, then you definitely have heard of Lady Gregory’s. From the owner of Wilde Bar & Restaurant and Beckett’s, Lady Gregory’s continues to uphold your favorite spirits list 100 deep. The restaurant is also known for its iconic pot pie and signature mac n’ cheese.
