EXPO CHICAGO

EXPO CHICAGO, the International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art, introduces their 11th edition of the exposition on April 11-14 at Navy Pier’s iconic Festival Hall. Explore more than 170 galleries from 75 cities and 29 countries.

Every April, EXPO CHICAGO showcases contemporary and modern art and features engaging on-site installations and talks. With galleries that highlight the city’s rich and diverse art community, the annual event since 2012 is a destination for appreciating contemporary and modern art.

EXPO CHICAGO was acquired by Frieze in 2012, making this year the inaugural edition as part of Frieze. The company is the world’s leading organization on modern and contemporary art, owning three publications, four international art fairs, and a permanent gallery in London.

THE EXHIBITORS

The exhibition is divided into sections including Galleries, EXPOSURE, PROFILE, Editions + Books, and Special Exhibitions. 

The Galleries section showcases international exhibitions, representing 29 countries around the globe. Featured countries include: Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Denmark, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States.

EXPOSURE presents solo and two-artist presentations of galleries younger than ten years. PROFILE features solo booths and installations with thematic focuses. Editions + Books showcases publications and limited editions of diverse media. The Special Exhibitions include regional, national, and international non-profit institutions, museums, and organizations.

TICKET OPTIONS

For the second year, EXPO CHICAGO is offering a special ticket for Opening Night on Thursday, April 11. Art enthusiasts have the option to be the first to experience the 2024 edition of the fair.

With admission, ticket holders will receive complimentary return admission tickets throughout the weekend, a drink ticket, Frieze Magazine benefits, complimentary admission to the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago during EXPO CHICAGO, additional EXPO ART WEEK event access, a complimentary ride on the Navy Pier Centennial Wheel and more. Opening night tickets are available for $175 and single day admission starts at $40.

THE OTHER ART FAIR

In celebration of emerging artists, the 6th edition of The Other Art Fair from April 11 to 14 at Artifact Events. The Fair will feature original works from over 110 independent artists. Since launching in 2011, this global art event has worked with over 3,000 artists from across 20 countries.

The fair will kick off with an opening night event on Thursday, April 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Other exciting events at the fair include Meet the Artist and SHOP, a showcase of the over 110 artists with opportunities to meet and purchase unique artistry. The Art Swap Shop allows attendees to exchange an original piece of art they no longer want for a new piece. Join FriYay! Friday Late with AMFM for a program of music, DJ sets, and live performances. The Other Art Fair will be open 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. on April 12, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on April 13, and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on April 14. Purchase tickets online here.
