Get a Taste of Restaurant Week at First Bites Bash

With only two weeks and over 300 restaurants participating in Chicago Restaurant Week, you can’t try them all. Get a taste of some of the participating restaurants at First Bites Bash.

First Bites Bash provides tastings from over 60 of Chicago’s celebrated chefs and restaurants that are participating in restaurant week in a festive atmosphere. All of it takes place at Navy Pier where you’ll also enjoy beer, wine, and cocktail pairings. Sarah Grueneberg, chef and partner at the popular Monteverde Restaurant and Pastificio, will host the party.


When you take a glance of the First Bites Bah menu you quickly realize that you better come hungry because there isn’t one thing you should miss out on. Highlights include beef shank popusa from Carnivale, pork cheek skewers from Frontier, seafood gumbo from Riva Crab House, porcellino agnolotti from Il Porcellino, pickled laughing bird shrimp from Cindy’s, and so much more. Wash it all down with libations from Terlato Wines and TD Artisan Spirits along with beers from local favorites Baderbräu Brewing Company, Motor Row Brewing, DryHop Brewers, and Vice District Brewing Company.

First Bites Bash takes place Jan. 26 from 5:30 p.m.–8: 30 p.m at the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier, 600 E. Grand Ave. Admission is $125 per person. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Business or cocktail attire is suggested. For more information visit
