Explore these fun, free, and even healthy summer programs to enjoy every second of Chicago outdoors.

Millennium Park Summer Workouts

Millennium Park Great Lawn
201 E. Randolph St.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 6–Aug. 31, 7:30 a.m.–8:15 a.m.
Saturdays, June 3–Sept. 2, 7 a.m.–11 a.m.

Don’t let all the hamburgers and hot dogs ruin that year-long journey for the summer body. Millennium Park offers amazing outdoor workouts every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday on the Great Lawn. Tuesdays and Thursdays are only yoga classes held from 7:30 a.m.–8:15 a.m. There is more variety on Saturdays with a different workout every hour starting at 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. with pilates, yoga, strength training, and Zumba® in that order. While it might be early, you’ll forget it once you realize how beautiful it is to get healthy with a view of all the Loop skyscrapers, the Frank Gehry-designed bandshell, and the rest of Downtown Chicago.

Night Out in the Parks

After enjoying the parks in the morning, come back at night where there will be over 1,000 cultural events taking place across the city’s neighborhood parks all summer. Enjoy movies like “La La Land,” “Dirty Dancing,” “Hidden Figures,” and “Rogue One” in the fresh Chicago air. Experience performances of “Richard III” and “Midsummer Nights Dream” among other plays at several parks. Dance in the parks to live jazz, salsa, and reggae bands among other genres. With Night Out in the Parks, you never have to wonder what to do at night.
