Over 200 Blooms at North American Lily Society Show

Every year the Chicago Botanic Garden amazes with their Orchid Show, but this year they’re adding some variety with the addition of the North American Lily Society Show.

This judged show bring overs 200 lily blooms from across the continent into the beautiful Chicago Botanic Garden. The theme of this year’s show is Saturday in the Park. Along with the flowers there will be educational elements to learn more about the care, origins, history, and design of lilies.

The educational symposiums include topics like hybridizing lilies in America, bulbs as companion plants, lilies for gardens, and much more. There will also be a photography competition taking place.

The North American Lily Society Show runs until July 10 at the Chicago Botanic Garden located at 1000 Lake Cook Rd. Glencoe, IL. For more information visit nals2016.lilies.org/show.
