Release some of the rage brought on by the end of the summer with a diverse lineup of musicians at Riot Fest Chicago.
What started out as a collection of punk shows at different venues has turned into a massive three-day festival bringing some of the best rock and hip-hop groups to Douglas Park. While still punk and hard-rock focused, fans of all genres will find top-notch artists to sing along with. This year’s headliners include The Flaming Lips, Ween, Morrissey, Death Cab for Cutie, The Original Misfits, and Rob Zombie.
Other artists performing include Jimmy Eat World, NOFX, Fitz and the Tantrums, Social Distortion, Nas, Deftones, Sleater-Kinney, Method Mand and Redman, and Julian Marley performing Bob Marley and The Wailers’ “Exodus” album. This might be one of the most diverse group of acts we’ve seen this year.
However, the lineup isn’t the only thing special about Riot Fest. Make sure to ride the Ferris Wheel, get on the other carnival rides, let your jaw drop at the sideshow performances, and more.
Riot Fest will take place Sept. 16–18 at Douglas Park located at 1401 S. Sacramento Dr. For more information and tickets visit riotfest.org/chicago.
